Townhouse Bonot de Villevrain

The family Bonot of Bourg-St-Andéol has a very old tradition in the trade of linen.
Paul de Bonot purchases and rearranges this townhouse in 1748 for the wedding of his son Emmanuel, marquis of Villevrain, with Marie-Elisabeth.

The building stands between a court and a garden, with a central body and two wings. The front is in harmony and has vegetal motifs winded around the carriage porch. Remarkable is the renovation of the stone column (perron) of the court of honour. It’s a private building, but it is regularly open for cultural and patrimonial events.
