Museum housed in a 15th century fortified house, classified as a Historic Monument. Discover the life of the Durand family who advocated non-violent resistance in the face of intolerance.

The visit begins with the screening of an 20-minute introductory film.
The pastor Pierre Durand (1700-1732) restored the Reform Churches in the Vivarais. He was hung at Montpelier for having contravened the king's orders banning the Protestant religion.
His sister, Marie Durand (1711-1776), was imprisoned for 38 years in the Tour de Constance at Aigues-Mortes from 1730 to 1768 for refusing to give up her faith.
Stories from witnesses of the Huguenots retrace the life of a family of Huguenots in the Vivarais region in the 18th century during the periods of religious persecution and the struggle to keep their freedom of conscience.
