Whether you're descending the gorges on foot or by canoe, pleaser remember a few basic rules: do not light fires, take your rubbish home with you, respect the fauna and flora and only camp on the two authorised bivouac areas at Gaud and Gournier. It is prohibited to descend the river on craft carrying more than 3 people, or with children under 7, and fastened lifejackets are obligatory. Walkers are advised to inquire about the level of the river for crossing at fords.
