Arts and crafts in a collective shop: Le Bocal, Antraïgues-sur-Volane (07)
Participative fresco and intervention during historical and medieval festivals.
Description:
The art of mosaics consists of assembling tesserae of various materials, such as ceramics
such as ceramics, enamels and stones, to create figurative or abstract motifs
or abstract motifs, highlighted by the rhythms and movements of the cut-outs,
harmonies of colour, reflection and texture.
The materials, the colour of the tesserae included in the mass of the material, the supports, are durable and resistant.
Career :
I got my start in mosaics as a textile designer, creating works inspired by textile rhythms and floral motifs.
In 2009, I decided to get even more involved in this art form by training with 3 professional mosaicists, who helped me develop my artistic and technical skills.
I set up my first studio in the Lille region before moving to the heart of the Monts d’Ardèche park in 2012.
Inspirations & Materials :
My creations are often about curves, feminine or vegetal, rhythms and vibrations.
I use a variety of materials, depending on my desires and their purpose, but always “noble” ones
– Handmade glass enamels, American marbled glass, stained glass, iridescent glass
– Chalk stoneware and Briare enamels
– Earthenware, floral tableware, mirrors and pebbles
– Solid wood, slate, volcanic stone and marble
To harmonise the materials, I play with their textures, dimensions, shapes, movements, colours, shine and mattness, reflections and reliefs.
