Designer/Textile – Tifany Auzanneau

Being a textile designer is all about ideas and desires, lots of research and passion. This is the job of Tifany Auzanneau, a young knitting enthusiast who decided to move to the Ardèche last year after completing a degree in textile design in Paris. Using her machine, she knits the things she sees, imagines and draws. The machine is her tool, her hands are the actors, and the yarn becomes the material. That's what she liked about knitting: a single thread from start to finish, intertwined within itself, a loop within a loop, and the work appears. She knits colours, textures and shapes. But above all she knits jumpers, scarves, hats, socks, cushion covers, blankets, lamp shades, jewellery… Her ideas come from what's around her, what she likes. Her world is one of bright colours and strong patterns. Knitting, yes… but modern, up-to-date knitting!
