Canoë – Kayak de Balazuc à Chames – 32 km / 2 jours avec Patou Bateau
Between waves and villages, this is a challenging route on the upstream section of Vallon Pont d'Arc. Enjoy a two-day adventure in the great outdoors with an overnight stop at a campsite. The highlight: you'll pass under the famous Pont d'Arc.
• Departure: Meet at 9:30 am at our reception in Vallon Pont d'Arc for a shuttle departure at around 10:00 am.
The next day, you can choose a return time of 4:00 pm, 5:00 pm or 6:00 pm, depending on your preferences.
The adventure awaits!
On the first day, your adventure begins in the charming listed village of Balazuc. You will navigate across the plain to reach the superb Cirque de Gens. After passing through the Ruoms gorges, you will stop for the night at our partner campsite.
The next day promises to be more dynamic: you will navigate several slides, pass under the unmissable Pont d’Arc with the Charlemagne rapids before reaching the end of your descent.
To participate
• Be in good physical condition
• Know how to swim
• Be over 7 years old
Ideal clothing
• Shoes that stay on your feet (old trainers or water sandals, avoid laces)
• Long shorts and T-shirt (sun protection recommended)
• Cap and sunglasses, with a cord to keep them secure
• Off-season: woollen jumper, windbreaker and a change of clothes
• Optional: neoprene wetsuit hire
Don’t forget
• Your camping gear (sleeping bags, change of clothes, warm clothes for the evening)
• Swimsuit and towel
• At least 1.5 litres of water per person and picnic (avoid heat-sensitive foods)
• Change of clothes for the evening and arrival
• Avoid bringing valuables: rings, chains, fragile accessories
