From north to south, Ardeche offers a wide range of vintages for wine enthusiasts through its AOP Côtes du Rhône wines. From the north of the region, Condrieu, Cornas, Saint-Péray and Saint-Joseph, and further south, Côtes du Vivarais and IGP Ardeche.
To promote this impressive wine heritage, the label ‘Vignobles & Découvertes’ – Vineyards and Discoveries – has been awarded to four destinations specialising in wine tourism: Condrieu en Côte-Rotie, Cornas en Saint-Péray, Hermitage en Saint-Joseph, and Vignobles Sud Ardeche.
For centuries, the chestnut has been the product most closely associated with Ardeche. Awarded AOP status, it stands with Picodon goat’s cheese and Fin Gas du Mézenc beef as a beacon of French quality and an emblem of the area. But food fans can also enjoy other iconic local produce such as olive oil, truffles and saffron.
