Canoë – Kayak de Vallon à Châmes – 7 km avec Patou Bateau
L' Aventure, an accessible descent, perfect for a first canoeing experience, passing under the Pont d'Arc. The trip takes about 1½ hours, but you can take more time to stop at the beaches, swim or have a picnic.
Meet at the arrival point in Châmes (Point 7). Shuttle bus departs at 9:00 am, 11:30 am, 2:00 pm and 3:00 pm.
Set off on a real discovery of the Ardèche and the pleasures of canoeing or kayaking, from the Pont de Salavas to Châmes, culminating in a passage under the majestic Pont d’Arc.
Suitable for ages 7 and up, this adventure usually takes half a day, giving you the freedom to fully enjoy the surroundings: swimming in the cool waters of the Ardèche, relaxing on natural beaches or simply contemplating the surrounding landscapes, particularly around the Pont d’Arc.
For added convenience, a shuttle bus is available from Sauze in the morning: meet at 8:00 am for an 8:30 am departure. This allows you to easily reach the launch point and enjoy your outing with complete peace of mind. The return is scheduled for around 2:00/2:30 pm (be sure to bring your own picnic).
You must be in good physical condition, know how to swim and be over 7 years old. You will be setting off independently without a guide.
Ideal clothing:
Shoes that stay on your feet (old trainers or water sandals, avoid laces)
Long shorts and T-shirt (sun protection recommended)
Cap and sunglasses, with a cord to keep them on
Out of season: woollen jumper, windbreaker and a change of clothes
Don’t forget:
Swimsuit and towel
At least 1.5 litres of water per person and a picnic (avoid heat-sensitive foods)
A change of clothes for when you arrive
Avoid wearing valuable items such as rings, chains and fragile accessories.
