Canoeing from Vallon to St Martin d'Ardèche – 24 + 8 km / 2 days with La Vernède
2 days of canoeing, the first day discovering the Ardèche Gorges Nature Reserve and the 2nd day an easier route passing under the famous Pont d'Arc!
Practicalities: – Departure between 8am and 10.30am – briefing on the route + introduction to the start – Moderately difficult route on the 1st day (5 hours' paddling, requires good physical condition) and easy on the second day (1.5 hours' paddling) – Arrival on the first day at the Sauze landing stage in Saint Martin d'Ardèche – Shuttle bus departure from 3pm – 2nd day: departure from Vallon between 8am and 4pm – Arrival at Stop 5 or we will pick you up by shuttle bus (return time to be agreed before departure).
Our advice: – Take enough water and food for the day – Sun cream and/or long clothing (beware of sunburn!) – On the 1st day, leave as early as possible. Time management: we advise you to do most of the route in the morning to make the most of the Ardèche Gorges.
