Horse ridings and riding center at the equestrian farm Le Relais de Vazeille

Deep in the heart of the Southern Ardèche, near major tourist attractions (Vallon Pont d'Arc, the Ardèche Gorges, the Chauvet Cave), immerse yourself in unspoiled nature. Our horses, regularly trained, will lead you with their sure steps through oak forests or along vineyards, along ridges or down valley floors, for an unforgettable ride and gallop. A barn with six stalls allows us to prepare the horses safely and sheltered. The 50x30m panoramic arena is ideal for beginners to gain confidence or to improve their skills in flatwork, jumping, and cross-country, and for discovering the methods and practice of ethological horsemanship. After the rider prepares the horse, each session begins with groundwork alongside the horse, perfect for observing it, beginning to understand it, and building confidence before mounting. Beginners wishing to go for a ride will always start with a short session in the arena to learn the basics of riding and how to respect the animal they are responsible for. Those who are not of a certain size—too short (children under 12), too tall (over 1.90m), or too heavy (over 80kg)—will not be able to ride. Instead, they will be offered a fun, hands-on session with a horse. Appropriate riding attire is required: closed shoes (no flip-flops, sandals, or sandals) and long pants (no leggings or shorts).
