Sports caving: Crossing Aven de Cordier – Event de Foussoubie, at the entrance to the Ardèche gorges.
Accessible from age 12
The Foussoubie network is the second longest in the Ardèche, with 23 km of galleries known to date.
The atmosphere and emotions are guaranteed from the entrance, where you have to crawl five metres before the first 30-metre abseil.
What follows is a highly varied progression: crystallisations, boulder chaos, vast chambers, underground river, etc.
Before exiting, we cross a second twenty-metre abseil, then shallow lakes where we get wet up to our waists. Return to the sun via the Foussoubie vent…
