As you go deeper into the Issanlas woods, you will come to the Chapelle Saint-Clair, whose fountain waters are said to cure eye diseases.
"The current building, isolated on the edge of the woods, was built on the site of a pagan sanctuary, close to the Roman roads passing through Pradelles and Le Pal. It is a massive granite cube of modest dimensions. During a recent restoration, the old grass-covered roof was replaced by a new red-tiled roof, which we found somewhat incongruous. Inside, in front of the altar, a polychrome wooden statue, probably dating from the 18th century, represents the saint venerated in this place, who is invoked for sight problems and whose cult is linked to the presence of a spring, reputed to be effective in this area and located two hundred metres to the south, on the edge of a "narce". Tradition has it that Saint Clair was a shepherd and that he is buried here, under the cross in front of the chapel. Once part of Mazan Abbey, this chapel is now the site of a popular pilgrimage on the fourth Sunday in June.
