Charmes sur l'Herbasse
Charmes is dominated by its medieval castle and surrounded by lovely forests where the visitor will like to go walking. The village enjoys the proximity of the river Herbasse ant it shares with Saint Donat the recreational park of Champos where one can go swimming, windsurfing
The large wooded area (over 350 ha) has always been a source of wealth for the commune and its inhabitants. The water of the Herbasse, a capricious river, after having long served as a driving force for mills and sawmills, is still used to water the fields. These two natural assets make for beautiful walks in the undergrowth or along the water's edge… Part of Lac de Champos lies within the village.
