Château de Vaussèche
Private property whose grounds are open and accessible all year round for self-guided tours (with four information panels).
The castle dates back to the 13th century, but the main buildings were constructed in the 15th, 16th and 17th centuries.
By order of 6 February 1981, the 15th-century fireplace (built in the large Renaissance hall on the first floor) was listed as a Historic Monument; the façades and roofs were also listed as Historic Monuments.
The exterior of the château is open and accessible all year round for self-guided tours. Four information panels have been installed around the château to inform visitors about the architectural and historical significance of the building.
During the “European Heritage Days” in September, the owner offers a guided tour of the main rooms of the building (guard room, Renaissance hall with its fireplace listed as a Historic Monument…): for more information, contact the ‘Cœur d’Ardèche’ Tourist Office (tel. 04 75 20 81 81).
