St Michel's church dates from the late 19th century. The combed bell tower with its arcature is typical of mountain churches. The first priest was Abbé Paveyrane.
The building was constructed under the supervision of Abbé Florentin Forestier, who directed the work after the parish of lssanlas was removed from the parish of Coucouron and made an independent parish in 1877.
