Gras
The village of Gras surrounded by the remains of its former medieval ramparts, is worth a visit.
Also of interest: chapel of Saint Blaise (12th century) and the church of Notre-Dame de l’Assomption, a listed 17th century building. You will admire the remains of shepherd’s shelters and other dry-stone huts. During summer the landscape turns a brilliant purple with its lavender fields in full bloom.
Gras is dominated by “la Dent de Rez” (719 m altitude), the culminating point of the Southern Ardèche. You will be thrilled by the exceptional scenic view of the Cévennes and the Alps.
