Hermit's Cave

Legend has it that a hermit called Montanus or Montan originally from Laon hid away from society in a cave at the top of a Val Chaud cliff.

Leaving the Romanesque church Saint-Samonta, after a 20 minutes walk, you can reach the cave of the hermit by a path on the mountainside. You can also discover a very beautiful panorama with view on the barren canyon and on the road that splits this rock and brings you to Larnas.
