A museum space and scientific activities to experiment, discover and marvel! Exhibitions, workshops and events, experimental shows and interactive games, conferences and debates, access to digital culture…
It is in the building of a former tannery, in the old town of Cheylard, that L'Arche des Métiers invites you for a great journey to the heart of industrial know-how and scientific knowledge. This science city with a strong rural character is a place of activities and exhibitions open to all, young and old. With pride, L'Arche des Métiers creates a qualitative and demanding dialogue between science and the public… To share the pleasure, curiosity, emotions of discovery… To stimulate critical thinking and better understand the world and its complexity, as well as society and its transitions.
Exhibitions, workshops and animations, experimental shows and interactive games, conferences and debates, access to digital culture… L’Arche des Métiers gathers and proposes each year a multitude of educational initiatives to make science accessible, better understand it, become familiar with its challenges and also to experiment, discover and marvel!
With the temporary exhibition 2026: “Seeds: how plants are born?” , place to a playful immersion in the plant world: games, experiences and challenges to discover the thousand and one strategies of plants, from seed to flower… until pollination. Accessible from 8 years with a space dedicated to 3-6 years, to live with family or friends !
