Le Village de Lanas

Situated on the banks of the Ardèche, the limestone village of Lanas was fortified in 1428 and retains all its architectural character. The village is home to a number of activities on the plateau to the west.
The aerodrome allows you to see the region from the air or from a microlight, and you can also try your hand at motor sports (quad bikes, go-karts, etc.).
In summer, the proximity of the water and the narrowness of the vaulted streets make Lanas a refreshing stop-off. The old village is a maze of narrow streets, vaults and doorways. In the cemetery at Lanas is the grave of Henri Charrière, known as “Papillon”.
