Marc Seguin footbridge

First suspension bridge over the Rhone, using this type of technique (bundled wire cables). Invention by the famous Marc Seguin. This bridge is an exact replica of the one built in 1825 (further upstream) and destroyed in 1965. No bicycles.

This footbridge is an exact replica of that dating from 1825 (further upstream) which was demolished in 1965 as it no longer complied with safety and river navigation standards.
