Moulin de Palhiaire
Magnificent 17th-century water-powered mill in the heart of the Ardèche, in the hamlet of La Croze, in the commune of St-Joseph-des-Bancs.
As well as its architecture, the Moulin de Palhiaire is remarkable for its system of driving the millstones by a horizontal wooden rodet, a very rare mechanism that is currently being renovated.
The Moulin de Palhiaire is located in a remarkable natural setting, on the Moulet stream, in the heart of the Hautes Cévennes Ardéchoises, at an altitude of 650m.
Near the Moulin de Palhiaire, there is the possibility of camping on the farm and other accommodation at the Ferme de la Croze.
