Ruines du château de Peychelard
The remains of Peychelard Castle, built in the 10th century on a fortified spur, embody the initial residence of the lords of Lamastre. Nestled within a secure private property.
The stones from the houses of the upper town, gradually abandoned over time, were reused to build the houses of the lower town, which forms present-day Lamastre.
Nearby, a heritage interpretation panel retraces the history of Lamastre, from its origins to the present day.
