The Roman tomb in white marble, first served as the grave for a yound child before it was being re-used to bury the corpse of Saint-Andéol, martyr at the beginning of the secund century and missionary of Vivarais.
The decoration of the fourth side dates from the beginning of the 12th century. We can see specific features of the rebirth of Romanesque sculpture in the valley of the Rhône : friezes, Carolingian interlace, early Christian art characters in the interior and finally but not least greatly influenced by the Ancient history (Latin inscription).
