8 May ceremony

Residents of Meyras, the local council invites you to gather at the War Memorial on Friday 8 May at 11.30 am for the ceremony commemorating Victory Day on 8 May 1945.

Following this important moment of remembrance and tribute to our soldiers who died for France, the morning will continue with:

– a drinks reception hosted by the local council,

– a farewell reception for our technical services officer, Patrice Breysse, who is retiring,

– the traditional May Planting ceremony, with the planting of an olive tree in front of the town hall,

– and a potluck picnic around the town hall (everyone brings something).

We look forward to seeing many of you there to share these moments of remembrance, tradition and conviviality.
