Ardèche Trail – "The Roman Road"
This trail race, recognized as one of the pioneers of the sport in France, has been part of local history for over 30 years. The village, officially designated as a **"Village of Character"**, attracts visitors from all over the world who come to take on its technical and wild trails.
Recognised as one of the birthplaces of trail running in France, alongside the Trail des Templiers, the Désaignes Trail (formerly the Ardéchois Trail) is firmly rooted in the history of the sport. For more than 25 years, this Ardèche village, officially designated a “Village of Character”, has attracted nearly 2,000 runners from all over the world, ready to tackle technical and wild routes through the heart of the Ardèche mid-mountains, offering sublime views that have made this event famous.
From the demanding 57 km course to the 10 km nature trail, there is bound to be a trail for you in Désaignes. And let’s not forget the hikers and children, who once again this year will be able to run just like Mum and Dad!
