Concert and discussion: ‘The Shepherd’s Breath’ – a musical journey to the heart of pastoralism

Photo 2
The former Bourlatier farm, a 17th-century building emblematic of the architecture of the Ardèche mountains, is hosting the concert-talk ‘Le souffle du berger’, produced by La Chapelle Harmonique.
This concert invites you to follow the life of a shepherd, from transhumance to night-time vigils, from village dances to the calls of shepherds. It blends classical repertoire with folk traditions, from European Baroque to songs from pastoral regions. It will be followed by a discussion focusing on the challenges facing pastoralism today, attended by stakeholders from the mountains and plateaus of the Ardèche. The event will conclude with a tasting of Ardèche produce in partnership with the Association Ardèche le goût.
