Concert: Quatuor Voce at Nieigles Church
A concert by the Voce Quartet: from Beethoven’s early works to the vibrant colours of Argentina. An evening in two parts, where the precision and inventiveness of the master from Bonn meet the festive energy of the tango, the zamba and the chacarera.
Linking Beethoven with Argentina – what a fascinating invitation to travel! Ahead of the bicentenary of the composer’s death in 2027, the Voce Quartet has embarked on an ambitious musical adventure: performing all 17 of Beethoven’s string quartets, from stages across France to the prestigious Suntory Hall in Tokyo. For this stop in Nieigles, the musicians will perform one of the composer’s early quartets, before bringing a breath of fresh air from South America. Combining passion, virtuosity and infectious rhythms, tango, zamba and chacarera will keep the party going in an unexpected dialogue between continents and eras.

– Alberto Ginastera, String Quartet No. 1
– Astor Piazzolla, ‘Four for Tango’ for string quartet
– Traditional Argentine music: bagualas, zambas and chacareras.
