Exhibition "Between the Eye and the Soul"
The library, in partnership with Ardèche Afrique Solidaires, presents this exhibition by William Johnson, also known as CODJO, a painter, visual artist, and sculptor from Benin, as part of the Images and Words of Africa Festival.

William Johnson, also known as CODJO, a painter, visual artist, and sculptor from Benin, infuses his work with a deep connection to his culture and educational background. He uses acrylics, oils, markers, spray paint, and charcoal to create works situated between figuration and abstraction. His approach, nourished by philosophy and spirituality, results in vibrant, intense, and contrasting compositions. His creations are a whirlwind of color and energy.
His free and instinctive style blends gentleness and wildness, raw energy and harmony. For him, art is a universal language that connects human beings.
