Festival Images et Paroles d'Afrique : Concert "Né quelque part"
A gem of a musical theatre piece. Discover the story of a family in exile, told through the sounds of a double bass and a ukulele. You can’t choose your parents, but you can choose how to spend your evening… We all know the song, but this is the real deal (and it’s absolutely beautiful).
The Images et Paroles d’Afrique festival invites you to the Salle Le Bournot for a moment that takes your breath away.
“Né quelque part” is the story of a family forced to leave everything behind, travelling from Syria to France. No long, complicated speeches: just an actor, a double bass, a ukulele and a huge dose of humanity. It’s uplifting, it’s moving, and it puts a face and a voice to what we call ‘migration’.
On the programme: Theatre, Music and Discussions. The show is suitable for everyone, young and old, aged 7 and over.
Two performances scheduled:
→ 4.00 pm: Children’s Performance (perfect for gently raising children’s awareness)
→ 8.45 pm: Performance for all ages.
An actor who juggles theatre and musical instruments (double bass and ukulele) to recount this journey into the unknown.
The 45-minute performance is followed by a discussion to exchange and share impressions. It’s a chance to ask questions and challenge preconceptions.
This show is part of the 27th edition of the IPA Festival, run entirely by passionate volunteers from Ardèche Afrique Solidaires. The aim? Solidarity without borders and encounters that enrich us all.
