Hike: Lake Issarlès
Day hike around Lake Issarlès.
Morning: La Borie and Les Issarteaux – 5.9 km – elevation gain 148 m
Afternoon: Walk around the lake – 3.9 km – elevation gain 94 m
Meet at Place de St Pierre de Colombier and set off at 9.00 am from the Châtagineraie car park
Equipment: Walking shoes, clothing suitable for the weather conditions, a rucksack containing at least 1 litre of water. Walking poles and binoculars may also be useful.
The Bourges Hiking, Activities and Friendship Association offers a varied programme of walks in the Ardèche mountains from September to June: from the Ardèche plateau to the southern Ardèche, via the Ardèche Cévennes.
These outings in the great outdoors offer the chance to discover breathtaking views and landscapes set against a backdrop of geological history and volcanic activity, the heritage of the small villages (visits to churches, abbeys, chapels, castles, bread ovens, etc.) as well as the local flora and fauna.
