Hailing from Crest in the Drôme region, this group's music is energetic and their live performances lively.
Their name suggests a play on words between Brittany and the East, reflecting a music inspired by Eastern music, but in reality more volcanic than strictly Balkan. Their style is not confined to any established category: there are acoustic, festive and folk accents, combined with folk music influences from various parts of Europe. All served up with dynamism and humor to appeal to a wide audience.
Their repertoire is peppered with fast-paced originals, astonishing covers in the group’s own style, and tracks that demonstrate their taste for traditional tunes revisited and rearranged in their own way, mixing traditional tunes with their own compositions, all set to music designed to be convivial, danceable and accessible, with an assumed humorous and festive dimension.
