Night of the Stars
Come along to the ‘Cap vers les étoiles’ astronomy festival, organised by the Astro Science Nord Ardèche association!
From 4 pm to 6 pm, workshops:
– Making star charts
– Tour of the solar system using a model
– The ‘Sun–Earth–Moon’ interactions
From 4 pm to 10 pm:
– Observing the Moon and the Sun through a telescope
6.30 pm, talk:
‘Chile’s large telescopes’ by Johan Richard, PhD in astrophysics, astronomer at the Lyon Observatory
From 9 pm to 10 pm, mini-lecture:
‘Preparing for night-time observations’
From 10 pm to 1 am:
– Observing the night sky through binoculars and telescopes
Refreshments and food available on site
