Spectacle de la Comédie itinérante de Valence "Il n’est pas trop tard puisqu’on est là"

A director and an actor fail to produce a show about creating new visions in the face of the ecological crisis. Instead, the duo decides to recount their failures in a vibrant docu-fiction—an opportunity to explore the role of art in the struggle and the possible forms of civic engagement.

A year of research and interviews with elected officials, scientists, and residents, but to no avail: the company is unable to produce the show about the ecological transition that the government commissioned. From this failure emerges another show that tells the story of this unsuccessful attempt and sheds light on the links between art and civic action. Funny and irreverent, It’s Not Too Late Since We’re Here frankly addresses the demands placed on artists regarding awareness-raising, caught between creating “new visions” and adopting moralizing stances. By shifting our perspective, Maïa Jarville transforms the dead end into a space for exploration, showcasing local initiatives and concrete transformations on the scale of the lives of those who experience them. A playful performance that addresses the environmental emergency while outlining possible avenues for action.
