The Lady's Days: A Lady’s Days: ‘Crowning the Winners’ Show

‘Crowning the Winners’ is a talk-show in which we will explore the history of women’s participation in the Olympic Games, discussing bans, struggles, oppression, records and performances too, as well as femininity tests and testosterone levels; we will examine issues of gender, dual categorisation, the illusion of equality; where we’ll go faster, higher and stronger alongside pioneers, heroines, queens and activists; where we’ll ask what constitutes a woman according to the Olympic Committee; and where we’ll attempt to reclaim the current debates by learning from the past. Since 2018, Clarice Boyriven has been a playwright and researcher for the Olympicorama project with Frédéric Ferrer, a series of fifteen lecture-performances on the Olympic Games, in partnership with La Villette until 2024 (the year the Paris Olympic Games are to be held).’
