Visit of the Ardèche museum of the past

This small, fully refurbished museum traces the lives of the people of the Ardèche in days gone by. Let yourself be guided through these 1,001 artefacts as you explore the history of the Hautes Cévennes in the Ardèche.
A self-guided tour takes between 45 minutes and 1 hour.

A treasure hunt awaits you in the heart of the museum!
Children, accompanied by a parent, will set off to meet characters from days gone by through fun, interactive displays. Their mission: to find the tools, accessories and objects that were part of their everyday lives.
Suitable for children aged 6 and over.

As you explore the museum, discover the skills of farmers of yesteryear, the richness of their daily lives, the hard work they put in and the ingenuity of their creations.

Experience the atmosphere of cherry-picking season and the bustling markets in the village square, the chestnut season and its famous ‘Bouïrades’, or the long winter evenings spent gathered round the hearth…

To enhance the experience, a free audio guide lasting around 30 minutes accompanies you throughout the tour.

Tickets are available from the museum shop.
Access is open to all during the shop’s opening hours.

Guided tours are available for groups (of 10 or more people) every day from April until the Christmas holidays, subject to booking.

Last admission at 6.30 pm.
