Faysses… This word refers to the terraced slopes used for farming. The term ‘faysses’ refers to a ‘strip of land supported by a wall’ and, in the plural, to ‘terrace farming’. It is one of the most important elements of the Ardèche’s heritage.
Because this guest room suite has several levels, it reminded us of the faysses that surround our house in our beautiful valley…
The décor was inspired by this wild nature, but also shaped by our ancestors. You will, of course, find the common thread running through all our rooms with clay-covered walls (lichen colour), a lime-hemp wall, chestnut wood, cardboard furniture reminiscent of these terraces…
The renovation of this room is in keeping with the overall renovation of our house, we have worked with natural and healthy materials such as stone, lime, wood wool, clay, etc.
The advantages of this suite? It is much larger, at 45 m², with two rooms (a bedroom and a living room) and a 10 m² solarium with a view of the Ardèche valley…
