Itinerary details
Starting from the famous Mont Gerbier-de-Jonc, the route alternates between forest paths and crossings of lush green pastures, leading you to the village of Sainte-Eulalie via Lake Issarlès and Lake La Palisse.
You begin your journey at the foot of Mont Gerbier-de-Jonc, renowned for sheltering the three sources of the Loire River. Set off to explore unspoilt nature and discover truly remarkable landscapes. Passing by the Chartreuse de Bonnefoy in Le Béage, you reach Lake Issarlès, a volcanic maar with crystal-clear waters. In summer, why not stop for a refreshing swim? The route then leads you to Lake Lapalisse and the charming village of Sainte-Eulalie, where only 3.8 miles (6 km) remain to complete the loop.
