The Grande Traversée de l'Ardèche VTT runs north-south from Annonay to Bourg-Saint-Andéol over 315km. You'll discover the Mézenc and Gerbier de Jonc mountains, the Païolive forest and the Ardèche Gorges.

For this 3rd stage, small gears and big landscapes are on the agenda. The Ardèche mountains are a feast for mountain bikers, with moors of heather and broom. You'll discover a unique volcanic landscape with the sucs, phonolitic volcanoes shaped like “sugar loaves”. At Mont Gerbier de Jonc, a sentinel of dark lava, you can fill your gourd at the source of the Loire. Then, between woods and vast, undulating meadows, you'll reach Mazan-l'Abbaye and a steep, broom-lined path following wide tracks will take you to Lanarce.
