Grande Traversée de l'Ardèche VTT Stage 7 from Vallon Pont d'Arc to Bourg-Saint-Andéol

Itinerary details

Type d’itinéraire : Roaming

Stone, Ground, Hard coating (tar, cement, flooring)

The Grande Traversée de l'Ardèche VTT runs north-south from Annonay to Bourg-Saint-Andéol over 315km. You'll discover the Mézenc and Gerbier de Jonc mountains, the Païolive forest and the Ardèche Gorges.

On this last stage of the Grande Traversée de l'Ardèche VTT, the view of the Ardèche valley beyond Salavas is breathtaking. Apart from a few vineyards, this limestone plateau is nothing but vast, wild scrubland. Its true richness is not apparent at first glance. Here you're in cave country! Crossing the Ronze wood, dominated by holm oaks, you reach the Grande Lauze, an immense limestone slab. The GR4 takes you to Aiguèze. At the edge of the Ardèche, the Rhône valley welcomes you. You cross vineyards and orchards to reach Bourg-Saint-Andéol and its extraordinary architectural heritage.
