Itinerary details

Type d’itinéraire : Roaming

Stone, Ground, Hard coating (tar, cement, flooring)

For a sportier start, opt for this 105km variant of the Grande Traversée de l'Ardèche VTT. Starting from Tournon-sur-Rhône, you'll reach Saint-Félicien, cradle of the Ardéchoise, halfway up the slope, before finishing at the Devesset lake.

The start of this 1st stage from the ViaRhôna along the Rhône will be a gentle warm-up before attacking the slopes of the St Joseph hills. The view will reward sore calves. You'll then make your way along the first tier of the Ardèche plateau to Lac des Meinettes, with its playful single track. A new link over the plateau to the Espace Naturel Sensible des Gorges de la Daronne and its isolated chapel of Saint Sorny. A final climb back up to Saint Félicien, the cycling capital with its famous cyclo-sport event, the Ardéchoise.
