L'Ardéchoise : la Volcanique

Arguably indomitable, in keeping with the highland landscape, La Volcanique circuit lives up to its name and is a challenge in every sense of the word! It demands a serious effort, climbing up above 1000m altitude – you can gauge your progress against some of the highest landmarks in Ardèche, including the Mont Gerbier de Jonc and the source of the Loire river. A circuit of breathtaking beauty, alternating between granite sucs, volcanic flows, crater lakes, waterfalls and villages continually adapting to the harsh basalt landscape and the exposure of silent open spaces.
