Trail of the Giant’s Causeway: The Ranc Qualiou

The Trail de La Chaussée des Géants is an Ardèche event organised every 1st Saturday in June by Trail enthusiasts and their playground … the Ardèche! The conviviality and family spirit of the event are highly appreciated. 10 km, 20 km and 51 km.
All the routes have less than 2 km of tarmac and are mainly single-track. You'll have the chance to use only rural and communal paths. We hope you enjoy the trails in the Ardèche.
Follow the route of Le Ranc Qualiou (20km) in blue markings, in the heart of the pozzolan trails, on the flanks of the Gravenne volcano, volcano about forty thousand years old. The course also takes you to the banks of the Ardèche River to discover the basalt flows and the natural site of the Pont du Diable. The marking is permanent and can be practiced all year round. Be careful however in case of rain, it can be slippery on some parts of the course.
