The Saint-Jean-Baptiste church in Lavillatte was the seat of a commandery of the Hospitallers of Saint-Jean-de-Jérusalem.
Saint-Jean-Baptiste is a small church built of volcanic tuff and granite. The west facade, extended by a bell tower that still has its three beautiful bells, is buttressed by two large buttresses that give it an unusual trapezoidal shape. The single nave has three bays, including a shorter choir bay. The apse is polygonal both inside and out. On the south side, there is evidence of a walled doorway.
