Maison du trésor

On 2 December 1999, whilst carrying out building work on an old house in the centre of the village of Satillieu, owned by Jean Astic, one of the labourers struck a clay pot with his pickaxe. This clay pot contained 283 gold coins bearing the effigies of Louis XV and Louis XVI.
