La Maison du Bijou
The Maison du bijou invites you to discover the precious world of jewelry. An audioguide accompanies you through the eight exhibition spaces, revealing the secrets of jewellery-making.
Opened in July 2015, the Maison du Bijou in Le Cheylard is a privileged space for the history and expertise of jewelry in the region. This museum tells the story of jewelry in Ardèche Hautes Vallées, from its first appearance in the 19th century to its contemporary production.
Explore the precious world of jewelry and discover a long tradition of craftsmanship, jewelry techniques, collector’s items, original creations and testimonials to the history and origins of the region’s industrial activities. Behind the scenes or on stage, jewelry can be discovered and revealed… Fascinating!
