Pine Castle

Fortified stronghold typical of the Renaissance period in the Ardèche Cevennes enlarged in 1591 and flanked by three towers. The castle's gardens are labellised "jardin remarquable" for their beauty and uniqueness by the French ministery of culture

Two visitable levels with spiral staircase, vaulted cross vaults or cradle and French ceilings. Entrance doors to "broken pediment" (16th century) and accolade surmounted by coats of arms (15th century). Two monumental fireplaces. Antique furnishing and collection of modern and contemporary works. Bookstore.
