An AMAP is (Association for the Maintenance of Small-scale Farming) with the aim of preserving the existence and continuity of local farms as part of a sustainable farming approach, i.e. farming that is small-scale, socially equitable and ecologically sound, enabling consumers to buy quality food products of their choice at a fair price, while being informed of their origin and the way in which they have been produced, and playing an active part in safeguarding and developing local farming in line with sustainable development.
