Jean-Luc's dream of becoming a winemaker came true in the early 1980s with the acquisition of his first vineyard, a granite hillside planted with old Syrah vines overlooking the village of Cornas.
Jean-Luc's dream of becoming a winegrower came true at the beginning of the 1980s with the acquisition of his first vineyard, a granite hillside planted with old Syrah vines overlooking the village of Cornas.
From this was born the first vintage of Cornas “Les Ruchets” (1987), which became the flagship cuvée of Jean-Luc Colombo wines. With great strides, the vineyard grew and Jean-Luc was finally able to fully live his passion for wine by relying on a few solid principles: respect for nature and the different terroirs.
