La Fontaine

Discover La Fontaine gîte, nestled in the hills above Désaignes, a charming Ardèche village awarded the “Village de Caractère” label. The property, where the owners also live, is set within a peaceful estate combining chestnut forests and meadows. The gîte has a private terrace and an independent entrance. From the shared garden, located below the house and accessed by steps, enjoy a breathtaking view over Désaignes and the Doux Valley. Peace, tranquillity and a true escape from everyday life are guaranteed.

This pleasant 41.8 m² accommodation is simple and functional. Access is via around ten steps (the staircase is not suitable for people with reduced mobility or very young children). It features a bright living area with a fully equipped kitchen corner, dining table and lounge space with a sofa, two armchairs and TV. The windows offer beautiful views of the Ardèche mountains.

Relax in the spacious adjoining bedroom with a 180 cm bed. Inspired by the surrounding landscapes? A piano is available in the bedroom for creative moments. The gîte also includes a small bathroom with shower, washbasin and toilet.

During your stay, be sure to visit the medieval village of Désaignes. A local producers’ market takes place every Friday evening from April to October, offering the chance to discover regional specialities such as Picodon cheese and chestnuts. Located in the Monts d’Ardèche Regional Nature Park, the area offers numerous hiking trails, or you can explore the Dolce Via by bike. For a refreshing break, enjoy a swim at the Plan des Salins.

For a carefree holiday, bed linen is provided, beds are made upon arrival and end-of-stay cleaning is included. Access to the owner’s washing machine is available on request.
