Gorges de l'Ardèche – Pont d'Arc Tourist Information – Larnas

The village of Larnas lies at an altitude of 300m and is made up of 4 hamlets in Nègue Valley, an amazing river that has held onto its natural charm.
To reach Larnas, you need to follow the road of the Gorges de la Sainte Baume after the picturesque medieval village of St Montan. The economy is based on tourism but for a long time on agriculture which has shaped the landscape : almond orchards, large areas of vineyards and lavender fields…
You will find a typically mediterranean vegetation : white and green oaks, junipers… favoured by a dry, warm and windy climate.
We are on the plateau dominated by la Dent de Rez (719m) with its a saw-tooth profile.
